Experience/Education
I received a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University.
In addition, I earned a Graduate Certificate in Addictions Counseling.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the State of North Carolina, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC)
I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist-C
I have provided counseling to clients spanning from young adults to older adults across various cultures and identities.
Therapy Approaches
I use a holistic approach incorporating several evidenced-based treatments depending on your needs as a client. I primarily begin with a person-centered approach and like to get to know you and your values before determining an appropriate path that may include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, or family systems therapy.
I believe that most issues are developmental and that every individual possesses the strength and potential to work through human problems. I seek to empower my clients to discover this potential and learn skills and strategies that will help them grow and achieve their goals.
